Snowdrop

For ten years, I knew exactly where and when things would bloom in my garden. Now that we've moved, our first spring brings daily surprises -- like this singular snowdrop planted by a friendly squirrel or bird. It's fun to plan our landscaping, but sometimes nature has better ideas!

I think Mother Nature is a day late with her April Fool's joke. Yesterday, we discovered these tiny blue flowers in the yard (striped squill). Today, they were a bit harder to find!
