Growth

July 6, 2016 (188/366)

"Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning." - Benjamin Franklin. I've spent most of the summer planning and planting to improve our landscape. A garden takes work, patience, and faith, and not everything turns out as planned, but the growth and change are exciting and motivating. So too, every once and a while, I feel the urge to change the layout (and the focus) of this blog to keep things fresh. What do you think?

Fireworks

July 3, 2016 (185/366)

"Whiz go the rockets into the air with many a snap, crack, and whir! Some shower silver stars, others red - as if a cherubim had thrown away a handful of rubies - perhaps green, orange, and blue. How magnificent the spectacle!" - Henry Howard Paul, Fourth of July in the United States 1851

Two

"Summer afternoon: to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language." - Henry James

Infinite

"I thank you, God, for this most amazing day, for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes." ~ e. e. cummings
