"Let Your Mind Set Sail"
I'm always simultaneously attracted to and
puzzled by these sculptures at MKE
(General Mitchell International Airport).
I don't know what this installation is called.
I don't know the name of the artist.
I don't know what it means.
Obviously, I'm drawn to all things sailing,
yet these "boats" are are human faces.
I imagine that they are an invitation to
let your mind set sail, to broaden your horizons...
Yet, at the same time, they are capsized, run aground.
Let's face it, I have no idea!
