"But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between..." - Khalil Gibran
Night and day, summer and fall, sleep and consciousness -- times that seem absolute; yet this morning, I feel caught between spaces. The French call the moments between day and night entre chien et loup -- between dog and wolf -- a time when things are unclear, uncertain, unsettling. I feel restless as I simultaneously cling to these waning days of summer and long for the crispness of autumn. This in-between place makes me uncomfortable and challenges me to find meaning. I crave structure, but force myself to leave space for dancing.
