June 10, 2014 Photo (161/365): "Contrast"

I can't decide whether I prefer the new buds just beginning to reveal their beauty or the heavy-headed, fully formed blossoms of this double columbine. I feel the same way about the burgeoning excitement, freshness, and potential at the beginning of every academic year versus the exhausting, satisfied, heavy-headed feeling of these the last days of school. Each provides a unique pleasure to be anticipated and savored...although today, I'm leaning toward the later!
