Today we took Piper for a long hike in the woods at Lapham Peak. There aren't any new leaves or wildflowers yet, but there were lots of pretty fungi and the air smelled like spring.

On March 7, 2015, Piper chose us to be her family. It has been a year of firsts, of laughter and tears, of growing and learning -- for both Piper and her parents. A year ago, our house may have been cleaner and we may have had more money and freedom, but we were missing the love that only this precious puppy could provide. We're so happy that she's our girl!
